Spring Break

In a few weeks it will be one year since we visited Disney World.  It saddens me we will not make it to Disney this Spring Break.  I remember the excitement in Leah and Cora’s face when we arrived at the Orlando Airport. As our trip got closer to the date we flew out of Philadelphia, the kids was filled with pure happiness. They asked me all kinds of questions about our trip. This was their second time at Disney! I wanted this trip to be memorable for both of them.  How it all started was I had a plan to take them but was not sure of when.  It was just before Thanksgiving I booked the trip with http://www.disney.com/ and this was one of their Christmas Gift.  I even ordered an announcement from Etsy for when they unboxed their gift on Christmas Day. Believe it or not I was back and forth with what hotel we were going to stay at and what meal package we were purchasing.  I did extensive research online on different websites offering informative materials, I watched YouTube videos as well.  I was that mom who planned and wanted to make sure this was going to be the perfect trip.  Our package included the resort, meals, theme park tickets, magical bus transportation from and to the Airport.  We did not have to worry about going to the baggage carousel to collect our luggage’s or stress out about checking them in on our departure. We stayed at the Port Orleans Resort Riverside for 5 days.  On Easter Day we spent it in the park.  It was such a great experience for all of us to have had the chance to spend our time at the park during a holiday. Our meals and drinks were included in the package I choose.  We did not have to worry about the cost of meals at that time of our visit being it was prepaid and it made it so much easier we just waved our Magical bands at the register.  As we approach our one year mark since we last visited Disney I wanted to share with you all my tips on packing for the little ones and myself,  and a quick planning guide on how to choose the right package.

Packing for Kids-

What worked well for me was to plan their outfits for each day we were on our trip from swimsuit, pajamas, park outfit to evening outfits, a light jacket and underwear even hair accessories and not to forget, pool sandals, sneakers and nice pair of sandals that would match well with an evening outfit if were we going out to a nice restaurant to eat at.

Here is a cool tip to share which works for me when traveling.  You pack each day out fit for one child in a zip lock bag that includes pajamas and underwear.  Label the bag with the day. This makes it great for traveling because you are not trying to figure out outfits for everyone on your outing day.

Packing for Momma’s-

Pack the same way as you do for the kids.  Plan your outfit and make sure your sandals and sneakers go with all of your outfit you bring with you.

What I pack in my Backpack when traveling.

  • Sunscreen
  • Kids change of outfit in case of an emergency
  • sunglasses for all
  • travel first aid kit
  • hand sanitizers, cleansing wipes
  • Clorox wipes

Here is the price package that includes Resort stay, Meal plan, Theme Park Tickets.  You do have the option of getting the Hopper.  I opt out for that only because I had already planned to do one park per day for the 5 days we were there.

Resort
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
Standard View

Theme Park Tickets
5-Day Ticket with Admission to 1 Park Per Day

Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan

The total cost will range from $3,796.64  and up!

There are many options to choose from value to deluxe resorts.  I highly recommend choosing a package that includes meal.  Overall our experience with Disney was memorable vacation. Thank You Disney!
